Is there Value Hiding in your Data? New AIIM Report

The term “Content Analytics” has been coined to cover a range of search and reporting technologies which can provide similar levels of business intelligence and strategic value across unstructured data to that conventionally associated with structured data reporting. Another way of looking at Content Analytics is that it is applying business intelligence practices to digital content to better help manage content lifecycles. New AIIM research reveals drivers and trends.  

I didn't even realise they still made... Floppy disks!

The Japanese electronics manufacturer Sony, which last year sold well over 12 million of the devices, has announced it will stop making floppy disks next year, leaving no serious manufacturer in the market place.

The decision is the final nail in the coffin for floppies, which since they were first developed in 1971 have helped consumers store documents, pictures and data on an easy to use format. More from the Telegraph

"Taxonomy" - difficult word, but useful concept, especially in a document management or SharePoint project. It defines the way you group or classify your content, generally in a hierarchical way.
